Fall 2011: Trends: Get Sprung: Giambattista Valli

Giambattista Valli swayed shy of a 2-dimensional Fall collection and instead, showed jolts of electrifying color and exaggerated florals, which are typically reserved for Spring. Similar design elements were seen at Jil Sander where disproportioned looks were printed in deep, rich florals.

Fall 2011: Coming Soon: Cleveland Luxury: A Fall 2011 Buyers' Guide

Look out for the Fall 2011 Buyers' Guide coming your way on my other site, Cleveland Luxury; brought to you by the fantastic buyers at Jinny.

[side note: this is the primary reason as to why the Fall 2011 coverage on this site has been so bleak.]

Editorials: Spring 2011: Vogue: Chateau California

Over the weekend I rented Sofia Coppola's Somewhere on iTunes and just this month, Vogue published an editorial featuring Somewhere's Elle Fanning in the movie's main pad.

"Model and actress Natalia Vodianova unpacks a cinematic urban summer wardrobe at the iconic Chateau Marmont and finds young Hollywood talents behind every door."

Ad Campaigns: Jourdan Dunn & Sacha M'Baye for Burberry Prorsum Spring 2011

Mario Testino photographed Jourdan Dunn & Sacha M'Baye on Brighton Beach for Burberry Prorsum's Spring 2011 campaign. I think they make a killer couple! What are your thoughts?

Fall 2010: Lanvin x H&M

I'm extremely excited for this collaboration, and not because I like Lanvin (because I do), but in relation to the collaboration's appealing menswear (personally, I find it to be the best menswear collaboration to-date). I plan on posting my full collaboration-rundown later on this week, once all 40 looks are released (only 25 were released today). So, enjoy several of the campaign images and the comical trailer.

The Lanvin x H&M campaign was shot by David Sims and features Hannelore Knuts, Jane Schmitt, Tati Collitar and Natasha Poly. The collaboration (naturally) looks cheap for Lanvin which I reckon is a good thing considering 90% of the "collab" is straight out of previous Lanvin collections (i.e. majority of shoes via Spring 2009); I think it'd be rather unfortunate for those ladies who shawled out boatloads of cash for RTW to appear as if they're wearing H&M.

[UPDATE: Check-out the H&M website for all Lanvin/H&M locations; none happen to be in my state, nor any neighboring states. Perhaps, you'll luck out?]

Givenchy Spring Campaign

I feel like this is the only Ad Campaign image which merits a post. How fierce does Natalia look? Doesn't Mariacarla resemble Kate Moss in this photo? Anywho, the overall campaign is quite good, although this one was the only photo which merited a post. (Happy New Year...AGAIN!)

Run of Show

Such a great editorial, I cannot pinpoint wether its the styling I'm so fond of, or well..no it's definetly the styling! The Prada chandeleir dress (nom nom nom!). It's also the first editorial (that I've seen) with the Spring 2010 Alexander McQueen collection. Ahh, and Phi...poor Phi! I'm so bummed that Phi has shut down, a real loss to the Fashion World.
